ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 10 March 2009-03-10
TANDY's HOUSE 8:30 PM
Present: Tandy, Nick, Baz, Gerrit, Neil

AGENDA ITEMS
Matters Arising
Treasurer's Report:
Total cash assets: £11,169
Update on insurance claim
The Club House was damaged by water from a broken water pipe resulting from the inclement weather this last winter. Many thanks to Baz for dealing with this ‘little’ disaster.
· Action: Gerrit to notify members that the toilet is out of action.
Registration Day & Open Day:
We did not have one last year. Risk: There may not potentially be an operational clubhouse.
Propose 5th April 3pm – 5pm. Anyone welcome.
Actions:
· Gerrit: Make posters and post them around village
· Tandy: Advertise in Village Voice and attempt to get into Parish Magazine
Padlock: New padlock number: 8118
Actions: Gerrit to put padlock on and notify members.
Membership
New membership cards
Actions:
· Neil: Get new plastic cards printed
· Tandy: Daft Welcome letter and circulate to be agreed by all by end of this week.
· Neil: To draft Membership letter
· Gerrit: Send all to all members.
Tournament:
First tournament for 2009 is 17th May or June 21st, open to all, age groups 8-13, 14- senior.
Actions:
· Gerrit to advertise
· Tandy to advertise in the Parish Magazine
Tennis coaching:
After a meeting with our tennis coach Marcus some agreements are now being drafted
to solidify our relationship with him. Amongst the issues were: Members who book private tuition through Marcus (but not through other coaches) will have carte blanche priority to the courts in preference to other members wishing to play at the time.
Tennis Court:
In September discuss with Martin Baer preventative measures about controlling the moss on the court.

Joining the Club

Anyone can join!

Membership is not restricted to people living in the Balcombe Parish. The tennis season runs from the beginning of April to the end of October. As a member, you are free to play any time of the year if the weather is favourable.
