The young, the very young, and the not so old, took to the tennis courts on Sunday 16 October for an afternoon of games, frivolity and some moments of seriously good tennis.
In the childrens' games, Tom Bishop had a fantastic run netting the 5 years and under medal, whilst Ben Conway won the 6 to 8 year olds group, and Henry Dunford stormed the 9 to 12 year olds category.
It was of no surprise that tennis ace, Baz Bolland, won the adults' tournament with his usual finesse. To ensure however the men were given a run for their money, George Sayers showed off her mean backhand, and scooped an impressive joint second place with Scott Shelton. Johnny Dunford and Roland Burke played as stylishly as ever, and took joint fourth position in the medal order.
In haze of sunshine and some great food, it was a befitting end to the summer season.
